Long years of experience in building construction helped
its owner and general manager to use
his expertise and professional knowledge in civil
engineering and along with the highly qualified
associates and workers in building industry, he soon set
the foundations for a company that has an active role in
reconstruction and building of housing blocks, public
facilities and buildings of major cultural and
historical significance.This
period of our participation in reconstruction and
rehabilitation by engaging our 20-30 staff and turnover
of more than 5 million KM was over in 1997 when «Primus»
started its manufacturing business, namely aluminum –
plastic joinery by methods developed by German profile
manufacturer «Meeth Fenster» and thermal insulation
glass production. |

Starting up a
manufacturing business we employed additional 15 staff
along with the existing number of staff still dealing
with building construction as a company's main business
However, in 2000 «Primus» d.o.o. Maglaj extended its
manufacturing business to wood processing industry. Our
wood industry-related development that became a
prioritized company's activity, reflected in more than
one direction – our activities included: PRIMARY WOOD
PROCESSING, SECONDARY WOOD PROCESSING, MANUFACTURING OF
ALL TYPES OF WOOD JOINERY. |

1.
PRIMARY WOOD PROCESSING
-
It is a special-purpose facility with the automated wood
processing machinery installed
-
Sawing mill capacity is abt 1,300 m³/month of cut
timber, or 50 m³ per day.
-
Our cutting operation include 1,100 m³ per month or 40
m³ per day of round trunks
-
Two-shifts work is carried out by 20 staff, highly
trained and educated people headed by their manager.
-
The sawing
mill mainly process fir, spruce, oak and beech for the
next stages of production and processing within the
company, but also for commercial – direct programs of
raw timber and wood board exports.

2.
SECONDARY WOOD PROCESSING
-
It includes boards and elements drying at driers the
net capacity of which is 150 m³ wood, with dry boards
storage facility.

Newly equipped production line for width-wise and
length-wise joining of wood elements for manufacturing
of lamaellated wood profiles of fir/spruce and oak, as
well as lamellated wood supports.

The line capacity is about 15 m³ of finished elements in
two shifts, i.e. daily, with 16 employed staff and the
manager of this production sector. |

3.
WOOD JOINERY
-
Manufacturing of wood joinery unfolds in a joinery
production facility with lacquer-application plant for
final joinery painting.

Raw materials for manufacturing of joinery come from our
own production line of lamellated products of finished
wood profiles of fir/spruce, oak and beech, type «Euronut
A» and «Izostabil B».

Finishing operations of the joinery production takes
place in our own painting plant, with a wider range of
finishing options.

We manufacture all types of outer and inner joinery,
wooden walls, fences and interior wooden segments.

Our services include joinery installation made by
well-versed assembly teams.
The total of 20 staff are employed in this sector of the
company. |
